Rima Khoury lives in Laval and spent nine years as an operations manager for a Montreal logistics firm, where a meaningful part of the work was chasing payments that had bounced because a name on a document did not match a name in a system. That is a fairly direct route into writing about casino cashiers.
She started reviewing Canadian-facing gambling sites after friends kept asking which ones were legitimate and she found that nobody was writing about the part that actually goes wrong. Her interest is narrow and deliberate: what a cashier asks for, when it asks, and what happens to your money when an answer does not line up. She funds every account she writes about from her own chequing account.
Away from this she is training for a half-marathon along the Riviere des Prairies and makes an aggressively traditional tourtiere every December.
